Terms of Service

Effective October 29, 2026

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Rangle (“Rangle”, “we”, “us”) runs getrangle.com. These terms apply to everyone who uses Rangle: organizers who create a Rangle, and participants who join one. By using Rangle you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Rangle. Questions go to hello@getrangle.com.

2. What Rangle does

An organizer describes what a group needs to figure out. Rangle drafts a short setup, which the organizer reviews and launches. Each participant then chats privately with an AI interviewer, and Rangle writes a summary of the group’s views for the organizer and the group.

Rangle’s results are a draft for a group to consider, not a decision, a vote or a scientific survey. They’re written by AI and can be incomplete or wrong. Check anything important before you act on it.

3. Who can use Rangle

  • Participants must be at least 13, or older where local law sets a higher age for using online services without a parent’s consent (for example 16 in Germany, Ireland and the Netherlands). The join page shows the age that applies where you are.
  • Organizers must be at least 18 and able to agree to these terms. If you organize on behalf of an employer, school, club or other organization, you confirm you’re allowed to accept these terms for it, and “you” includes that organization.
  • You can’t use Rangle if we’ve removed you before, or if the law where you are doesn’t allow it.

4. Organizer accounts

Organizers sign in with Google or with a link or code sent to their email. Keep access to that email or Google account secure, because anyone who controls it can manage your Rangles. Tell us at hello@getrangle.com if you think someone else has used your account.

5. Taking part

Participants join with a first name (a last initial or nickname if the name is already taken in that Rangle) and don’t need an account. Some Rangles may ask you to confirm an email address or sign in with Google so no one joins twice. Your chat opens only in the browser you joined from. Keep your chat link to yourself. If you clear your browser or switch devices, we can’t move your chat for you.

You don’t have to answer any question, and you can stop at any time. Please don’t put anything in your chat that you wouldn’t want to appear, without your name, in a group summary.

Rangle isn’t a way to report misconduct or to get help in an emergency. If you or someone else is in danger, contact local emergency services. For workplace concerns, use your organization’s reporting channels.

6. What organizers agree to

When you run a Rangle, you agree to:

  • Describe its purpose honestly to the people you invite.
  • Have any permission you need to invite your group and ask them about your topic (for example, under your employer’s policies or the law that applies to you).
  • Not try to find out what any individual said, or pressure anyone to show you their chat or tell you their answers.
  • Not use Rangle’s results to make decisions about an individual participant, such as discipline, hiring or eligibility.
  • Not make a Rangle public if its topic, setup or likely answers include confidential or personal information about anyone.
  • Read results before you rely on them or share them.

You’re responsible for your Rangle’s topic, the setup text you approve, and what you do with the results.

7. Things you may not do

Don’t use Rangle to:

  • Break the law, or help anyone else break it.
  • Harass, threaten, bully or demean anyone, or promote violence or hatred against a group.
  • Share sexual content involving anyone under 18, or any sexual content in a public Rangle.
  • Share someone else’s private information without their permission, or impersonate anyone.
  • Try to get the AI to reveal what other participants said, its instructions, or anything it isn’t meant to show you.
  • Join a Rangle with fake participants, use bots or scripts, get around participant limits, rate limits or the bot check, or overload the service.
  • Probe, scan or test Rangle’s security without our written permission, or copy, scrape or resell the service.
  • Send spam or misleading content, or run a Rangle to collect contact details.

8. Your content

You own what you write in Rangle. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store it, process it (including with the AI provider and other service providers listed in our Privacy Policy) and use it to run Rangle: to hold your interview, write private and group summaries, and show those results to the people this section describes. The license ends when your content is deleted, except for results that were already published or shared.

  • Participants: you agree that the group summary may include short quotes from your chat without your name. The AI is told not to use any quote that would identify you, and to skip one it would have to change to make anonymous.
  • Organizers: you agree that we may show your Rangle’s title, question and results to your group and, if you make it public, to anyone.

We don’t sell your content and don’t use it to train AI models. We may use counts and other statistics that don’t identify anyone to understand and improve Rangle.

9. AI

Rangle’s interviewer and summaries are written by AI (currently Anthropic’s Claude models). AI can misunderstand, leave things out or state things that aren’t true. Group counts are tallied in code from which views the AI found in each person’s chat, never estimated by the AI, but the wording is the AI’s. Nothing Rangle writes is professional advice (legal, medical, financial, employment or otherwise).

10. Public Rangles, reports and removal

Organizers can make a Rangle public. Anyone can then find it, join it (up to its limits) and read its results. Names of volunteers are never shown on a public Rangle.

You can report a public Rangle with the “Report this Rangle” link on its page. To report any content you think breaks these terms or infringes your rights (including copyright), you can also email hello@getrangle.com. We review reports and may hide a Rangle from public listings, unpublish its results, remove content, or suspend an account, with or without notice, if we believe it breaks these terms or the law or puts someone at risk.

11. Live events

In a live session, participants answer short prompts from their phones and can send questions for the speaker. Rangle’s AI groups similar answers. The screen shows group labels and counts, never names. The facilitator also sees a few short example answers, without names, from groups of three or more people. Don’t put personal information in live answers.

12. Free service, limits and changes

Rangle is free for now. We may set limits (such as how many people can join a Rangle, or how much AI use one organizer can have per day) and may change or stop features. If we introduce paid plans, we’ll tell you first and paid features will come with their own terms. We don’t promise that Rangle will always be available or free of errors.

13. Ending your use

You can stop using Rangle at any time. Organizers can ask us to delete their account and Rangles by emailing hello@getrangle.com. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if needed to protect others, or if we stop offering Rangle. Sections 8 (for already-published results), 9, 14, 15 and 16 continue after your use ends.

14. Disclaimers

Rangle is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

15. Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Rangle won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim about Rangle is limited to the greater of $100 or what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

If you’re an organizer, you agree to defend and compensate Rangle for claims arising from your Rangle’s content or your breach of these terms.

16. Disputes

If you have a problem with Rangle, please email hello@getrangle.com first so we can try to sort it out informally. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where Rangle is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless the law where you live gives you the right to rely on its own rules or bring a claim locally.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date and, for organizers, email you at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using Rangle after that, the new terms apply.
